Herpes Simplex Keratitis

The condition is caused by a virus that is one of the most common viruses affecting people.

The manifestations of the condition can include corneal lesions and occasionally lesions on the skin.

The condition is not very contagious and it is rare for an adult to catch the condition by contact. Infants and toddlers are more susceptible can occasionally catch this condition by contact and therefore, care should be exercised around very young children.
